BRIGHT neutral nursery!

I just had to post after pictures of the yellow dresser for a nursery I recently finished. I love the bright yellow and green! The black glaze looks great with the chalk painted closet doors!

All ready for baby! :)

Mustard Nursery Dresser

I am so excited to see this one in its final home! This is going in a nursery, and the crib is being painted the same color. We decided to add a black glaze to the dresser though, that is not being added to the crib. The black glaze brings in the chalk painted closet doors and brings everything together!

I used Behr Sweet Maple with a black tinted glaze for this piece.

Distressed Toy Chest

I am finally gettting around to doing a post about the toy chest I recently finished for Amy's daughter. This was finished in creamy white with light distressing. The details on the top really came out once this was refinished!

Stained and Painted

I am super excited about this one! When I found this I could just picture it without the mirror, creamy white, distressing, and a stained top. I love how it turned out! It is officially for sale! $160

Creamy White Antique Desk

I am very excited about how this desk turned out! To be honest, I was a little worried about how the top would look stained since it had some damage, but it came out great! Kristy, who I work with, it was passed down to her and she wanted to update it a little. I think it turned out great! Now she needs a chair!

A little provincial, a little rustic...

We had a client who loved the white provincial dresser, but wanted a little more rustic look. She went with black pulls and light distressing. It turned out even better than I thought!

The following are the before and after shots.

Oh Pottery Barn...

So before we even moved into our current home we bought our couch. I never occurred to me that as a first time home buyer that I truly didn't know what my style was. We moved in and I was quickly over whelmed with the vast amount of white walls. Over time I realized how in love I was with a vintage shabby chic look. See, I probably tell my husband once a week, "I am just not in love with xxx anymore." You can fill in the xxx with various pieces of furniture or accessories... I could NOT tell him this about the couch! I knew he would officially flip out. Today, I think I finally feel better about the couch, thanks to Pottery Barn!

On a random trip to the Pottery Barn outlet, I found an ottoman that I fell in love with. I was hoping that it would make the room lighter, since we have a dark leather couch, and also add a little shabby look. I am much happier! Plus, it was 56% off original price! :)

The following is the before and after look!
